RMMRA is a welcoming community of diverse scholars. We focus on nurturing early career scholars and including K-12 educators, librarians, and other alt-ac positions.
We hold a yearly conference in the Rocky Mountain region. These conferences provide scholars with the opportunity to receive nurturing feedback, to network with colleagues, and to explore the many modern areas of Medieval and Renaissance scholarship.
Conferences generally include traditional panels, professionalization roundtables, a Works in Progress workshop, and more!
RMMRA members can access and contribute to our ongoing projects to compile accessible materials for pedagogy and research. Our yearly conferences include many professionalization resources from workshops to roundtables to networking.
Members are also eligible to apply for conference travel grants, and to have their papers considered for the yearly Breck and West awards for best presented paper by a junior or senior scholar.
